Our recommendation: 1️⃣ park in the parking lot below Taormina (end of this tour), 2️⃣ walk to the Taormina train station (5min), 3️⃣ take the bus to Taormina (1.10 € for the green / white buses or 1.90 € for the blue buses), 4️⃣ ride with the blue bus to Castelmola (1.90 €) and 5️⃣ now the tour starts…

!!! We did the tour this way: parked the car in Volastra, then tracked down to Corniglia, took the train (4€ per person) to Manarola and then climbed up to Volastra.
Our 3.5 year old son walked alone from Volastra to Corniglia, but the way from Corniglia up to Volastra is VERY steep, so we had to carry…
We took the ascent from the east side because we were driving back from Zingaro. But most of you will probably start from the west side, e.g. 38.160650, 12.749696.
The path is not very exciting, but the view from the top is definitely worth it!
