That was a short nice New Year's tour to the Effelsberg radio telescope. As you can see in the photos, we had wonderful weather in the Eifel.
A huge part of this telescope and a highlight in technology. The information boards are on the way to the telescope. Unfortunately the information house was closed…

It was a very nice but also an adventurous and sometimes exhausting tour. From the parking lot at Wilden Kermeter, we started cycling to the Hirschley viewpoint, from where you have a great view of the Obersee with Woffelsbach. At the end of the tour we had the idea to continue cycling to the Urft dam…

The cycle path along the river Neckar from Bad Wimpfen is very pleasant without great climbs even for inexperienced good to drive. Beautiful landscapes past castles and beautiful villages. From the jetty in Bad Wimpfen to the right, about 15 km to Heilbronn to BUGA. To the left it is about 80 km to Heidelberg.

Highly recommended, a must in the Bavarian Forest. The treetop path with its like an egg (40m high) acting Ausichtsturm you should have seen. From the top you have a great view in all directions.

Krumlov or better Krumlov on the Vltava is a beautiful place in the Czech Republic. A historic and painted old town invites you to stroll, buy and marvel at. Lovingly preserved century-old houses and a castle in the center. A visit to the castle tower is a must, because the view from there on the city is really worth seeing.

Beautiful easy challenging circular route. Scenic view very nice. The place Wegscheid is near the border with Austria. The Czech Republic is not far away either. Not far from Passau about 25 km.

Beautiful ranger tour with lots of information about the trees in the nature park Eifel. Many possibilities for turning to Heimbach or to the wild Kermeter parking lot.
Uelzen, no se puede comparar con Lüneburg pero también es bastante bonito. Muy buena comida en el Pasaje de Hamburgo en Smokey Burger. En bicicleta por el canal del Elba hasta Bad Bevensen. Una tranquila ciudad balneario, tranquila pero no muy emocionante. Regreso a Uelzen por supuestos carriles bici…
