*******Wichtige Hinweise (Stand: 10.10.2021):

Dear hiking friends,... unfortunately no specific invitation to the next group tour at the moment. This is expected to take place in October, more on this shortly. I'm just thinking about the mode and the route. My route selection for the hiking season 2022 at the Märkischer Wanderbund is pending, and I'm still undecided about the upcoming group tours, which I would like to offer monthly via komoot or via my hiking blog, in the best case scenario.Since I am always open to new concepts, 'acting at eye level' is important to me and I very much like to use technical aids in the hiking area, I would like to ask you for your opinion, your preferences and, if necessary, suggestions for optimization along the way.You will find a pre-selection of over 50 tours in the collection created for this purpose at: komoot.de/collection/1324721/-geplante-gruppenwanderungen, most of which I have already hiked in exactly the same way myself. For this purpose, I have checked hundreds of hikes over the past 6 years for their suitability as a group tour, in terms of attractiveness, accessibility, weather resistance and of course the length of the route. In the end I was amazed at how many tours I would hike alone again at any time, but not in a group, for a variety of reasons ...If you are interested, please vote anonymously which tours you would like to hike in the group with me at: wandern-berlin-brandenburg.de/abstimmung-geplante-gruppenwanderungen
Until 30.09. open, 5 selections are possible there.
Feel free to write your feedback, suggestions, your own ideas, etc. here or in the collection in the comment.

Monday, September 13th, 2021 / time in motion: 4h: 25m / total time: 6h: 10m / distance: 19.56 km*******Today's tour was again accompanied by Rainer Scheel and his partner Conny and it was a lot of fun, because we had a lot to laugh about on the way. After we hiked part 1 of the tour I created 'Through the Potsdamer Parkanlagen' komoot.de/tour/473342204 on September 1st, 2021, we covered part 2 today. To make the hike worthwhile, I also integrated the Glienicke Park and the Böttcherberg, both of which are located in Berlin's urban area.We start at Potsdam Central Station over the Long Bridge to the Old Market with the Old Town Hall, the Barberini Museum, the Obelisk, the Nikolaikirche and the Fortunaportal at the Potsdam City Palace. We continue over the Platz der Einheit, the Bassinplatz, through the Dutch Quarter and then we come to the New Garden, which is crossed clockwise to the Glienicker Bridge. Then we cross the Glienicke Bridge to Berlin-Wannsee, pass the casino and pass through the Hirschtor into Glienicke Park. Passing the castle of the same name, we leave the park through the Johannitertor (Greifentor), take a photo of the lion fountain from the outside and switch to the hunting lodge park with the Glienicke hunting lodge. It continues through Klein Glienicke in the Potsdam city area, past the chapel and the alpaca farm. This is followed by the crossing of the Böttcherberg with the Loggia Alexandra in Berlin's urban area. Back to Klein Glienicke it goes through the Potsdam Switzerland. We take a break in Wartmann's Café. Then the Babelsberg Park with (almost) all the sights and the Nuthepark follow, before we arrive back at Potsdam Central Station and thus at the end of this tour. The tour and photos by Rainer:

Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 / time in motion: 2h: 43m / total time: 6h: 07m / distance: 10.2 km / 465 m / average speed: 4.1 km / hSince my records were completely screwed up again today, I had to go back to Rainer's. Therefore, the order of the photos and the markings on the card are not one hundred percent correct.*******Since Rainer and I couldn't make it here on the Malerweg during our hiking holiday in August 2020, we decided to make up for it today and hiked the Pfaffenstein and Quirl table mountains.Today we took the ferry in Pirna and the S-Bahn to Königstein (Sächs Schw). This round tour starts at Königstein train station in the direction of the city center. At the height of the post mile column, a staircase leads to the beautiful view and the oak. From here it goes over a narrow and hidden path along plots of land, first down and then up again to the Quellweg in Pfaffendorf. The Pfaffenstein comes closer and closer above the village. Before we start the ascent, we take a short break. Then we start climbing the stairs, which get narrower and narrower towards the top. Here you can well imagine why it is called the eye of the needle. With large backpacks you would probably get stuck here. Finally at the top you have great views again and we find a rock on which we take a longer break with a view into the distance. Then we look for other viewpoints before we leave the Pfaffenstein via the gorge path.Via the Oberer Kohlweg and a bit on the Kirchleitenstraße we change to the second table mountain, the Quirl. Along the triangle it goes a little steeper up to the whisk. On a narrow path through ferns, it always goes along the slope. Here we meet the only people up here, a larger group of young people who hang from here on a rope or sit around. At the level of the whisk guard, we change direction and head for the middle of the mountain and thus the highest point. Then the descent begins at the climbing cave and over the Quirlpromenade, Dreirutenweg, Kirchleitenstraße and Cunnersdorfer Straße back to Königstein. We want to go to a café here, but the bars are all full. Rainer stood in line to get at least an ice cream on hand. After a break at the Biela, we head for the Königstein train station and thus the end of this tour. The recording and photos by Rainer:

Monday, September 6th, 2021 / time in motion: 3h: 14m / total time: 5h: 28m / distance: 11.5 km / ascent: 380m / descent: 370m / average speed: 4.3 km / hSince my recording was not always directly on the paths, this is Rainer's more exact recording. I don't know why the time value was increased to 7h: 12m when the tour was uploaded.*******For today, Rainer and I decided to climb the Lilienstein, the landmark of the Saxon Switzerland National Park.We started in Königstein and from there take the ferry to Halbestadt. This is where the ascent begins with a 17-21% gradient. Then the Lilienstein and the climbers hanging on the ropes can already be seen clearly and we run towards it.Before we start the ascent, we take a drink break and then start the ascent over the southern slope. You reach the plateau on small and large stones in the shape of stairs and metal stairs. After we finally climbed Table Mountain, we went to the various viewpoints, from which one has a great view down and the surrounding landscape.Past the Wettin Obelisk and the restaurant, we look for a quiet place with a view and enjoy a beer that is dragged upstairs. After the break, we continue to the obelisk on the Osthorn, which August the Strong had erected on the occasion of his ascent to the Lilienstein in 1708.On the north side we descend and come on a meadow path to the forest cemetery on Sellnitzgrund, where between 1945 and 1947 117 dead, displaced persons from Bohemia, mainly old people and babies who died in a barrack camp at this point, were buried.Back towards Halbestadt we take the Lottesteig and then the paved bike path to the ferry, which we take to Königstein.Looking for an open restaurant, we come to Sachsenstüb'l, where we have dinner. After a short tour through the city center, we end the tour at the car park Reissiger Platz. All in all, it was a very nice and recommendable hike with fantastic views from the Lilienstein. The ascent is a bit strenuous, but worthwhile. The recording and photos by Rainer:

Since the rooms are not available so early, we went to the center of Pirna and did this city tour, during which the route arose spontaneously. After the mega march on Saturday, we only wanted a little exercise and relaxation lap today, but inclines and stairs could not be avoided here.Rainer's recording:

This time in Potsdam on the tour I put together years ago and hiked several times through the Potsdam parks. However, my two companions wanted the original route to be shortened, so I shortened the route from Neuer Garten. We started at the Potsdam Park Sanssouci train station and went past the Kaiserbahnhof to Sanssouci Park, where the route begins, starting at the Neues Palais campus of the University of Potsdam. In a big round we crossed the Sanssouci Park with almost all the sights. Our route then goes as follows: Krongut Bornstedt (here we treated ourselves to a delicious piece of cake from the Royal Court Bakery), Ruinsberg, Volkspark Potsdam including Waldpark, Pfingstberg, Mirbachwäldchen, New Garden, Friendship Island and then ends at Potsdam Central Station.Rainer's recording:

Friday, 08/20/2021 / time in motion: 5h: 22m / total time: 7h: 12m / distance: 28 km / average speed: 5.2 km / h*******Today I went to Altglienicke after visiting my parents and started this tour at the Wegedornstraße / Semmelweisstraße bus stop.Via the Berlin Wall Trail Altglienicke / Rudow it goes up to the lookout point of the Rudower Höhe (70m). This is followed by the park on Selgenauer Weg and the Rudower Nordpark. A little later I reach the city / state border. Here I follow the path parallel to the Wall Trail on the Schönefeld side, past the paddocks, pastures and the Rasmussen pony farm. This is followed by the park at Dörferblick with the viewpoint at a height of 86m. After a break, it goes back down and I follow the wall path past the post office and the Vogelwäldchen to the former crossing for the garbage trucks from West Berlin at the Cologne dam. Along the Deponiestraße it goes to the foot of the Großziethen landfill mountain, which is then up to the SkyPoint in approx. 90m. The landfill mountain will be left in the garden city of Großziethen. After crossing the city / state border again to Berlin, it goes through Buckow in a westerly direction. After a short crossing of the northernmost tip of Lichtenrade, I reach Marienfelde. Here the manor park is crossed and the village meadow Alt-Marienfelde is passed. On Malteserstraße I reach Lankwitz, where it goes through the community park, past the Trinity Church, through the park at the Lankwitz town hall and across Bernkastler Platz to the Teltow Canal. This is crossed on the Edenkobener footbridge and Steglitz is reached. After a short stretch through the Steglitz city park, I follow Albrechtstrasse to Hermann-Ehlers-Platz. At the U Rathaus Steglitz, which is located here, I finish this tour.
