At the end of my vacation I wanted to do a big summit. I rode my bike from the Baumgartner Hof to the former Anna Hut - which burned down in the Second World War, by the way. Then I continue on foot to the Kepa or the Großer Mittagskogel. The Kepa is said to be the most beautiful vantage point of the Karawanken. Unfortunately, I didn't notice anything about it on the ascent because everything was hanging in the fog. Fortunately, the higher I got, the more the fog dissolved. When I reached the top, I actually had sun☀️😎. To the north the view was fantastic. In the other direction, the Karawanken and the Julian Alps were unfortunately always covered with clouds☁️.
I was able to enjoy the way back on foot and then by bike in the sun. At the Baumgartner Hof I first rode the flow trails ("marble runs"). The faster you drive them, the more fun they are 😎. Then I stopped by and even swam in the Faaker See in the evening. What a day🤩.

Actually, 8ch wanted to make it quieter today. The ascent to the Achomitzer Alm was tough but always rideable. From there I followed the Arlecchino Trail. It was always easy to ride and even equipped with a pair of kickers. In the middle part it turned into a forest path. That was too boring for me. So I'm over to the Pulcinella Trail (S3). He then challenged me: technically and mentally. Some areas are exposed and there is a risk of falling ☝🏻. Then it was adventure again 🤷🏼♂️🤣.
In the valley I rewarded myself with a Julian Stilgenbauer commemorative cappuccino in a beautiful osteria😋.

Today I tried bike mountaineering. I was able to ride my bike to the old Annahütte, right on the border between Austria and Slovenia. From there I had to carry it to the top. For this I had borrowed his HookaBike from Julian. It took some getting used to in narrow passages, but it was a relief. Unfortunately there was no summit cross at the top - only fog and continuous rain 😟. I was only able to drive a small part of the downhill. It was just too wet and also too demanding. It was always a great adventure😀👍🏻. Scramble around on your back with the bike😎.
On the way back, I tried two trails despite the continuous rain
After that I was really happy with the hot shower🙈.

Today I put in a downhill day (Gravity Day). Gaisbergtrail, Lissi Osl Trail and twice the Hahnenkammtrail and the Fleckalmtrail. The latter two are Signature Trails and they both deserve the award 👍🏻👍🏻.
I met a trainer from Leogang on the Fleckalmtrail. He took me with him on the first descent and gave me valuable driving technique tips 💪🏻👍🏻. He also showed me a variant with a super steep root staircase. I wouldn't be down alone 🙈🙈🙈.
And a golden eagle 🦅 I saw today. What a day 🤩.

Actually, I wanted to take it easy on the first day of my vacation. Nevertheless, almost 1000 hm came together again🙈. The Sun Trail is one of the signature trails. Actually a seal of quality, but it's not much more than a somewhat rougher marble run. Tomorrow I'll see the Fleckalm Trail and the Hahnenkamptrail.
