South and East Africa

The African leg of our trip. A lot of COVID border faffing and some admin pains but overall pretty manageable. Do not go South-West to North-East like we did: headwinds all the way -_-Most routes are safe but beware Namibia has no shoulder and Zambia as well as part of Tanzania (up until Igawa) also run out of shoulder at times and have poor tarmac. A lot of roadwork is on going though. Food wise, not much. In Namibia, make provisions for food and water. Elsewhere, prepare for a lot of Nshima chicken and coke. Beware of elephants in Botswana: do not ride near them. If you see any, try and wait for them to get off the road and then try and pass next to a car.
