Pfälzer Höhenweg

With the train, which runs every hour, to Wolfstein and hike back relaxed and with the best Easter hiking weather

... and continue on the high path. Additional information: The 260 bus only runs every 2 hours on Sat / Sun. The journey from Meisenheim to Lauterecken costs € 4.50.

Today in wonderful weather stage 4 of the Palatinate High Trail. From Meisenheim to Obermoschel, the smallest town in the Palatinate. Unfortunately there is no direct connection with public transport, so the "friends taxi" had to serve.

Today we went on the longest stage of the Palatinate High Trail. For the journey to the starting point, the "Friends Taxi" helped out again, as there is only one call taxi connection once in the morning between Rockenhausen and Obermoschel.

Today there was a foretaste of the altitude difference of the next stage ... From Rockenhausen to Würzweiler, then up to Ruppertsecken, the highest village in the Palatinate, on around the Hoferkopf to the Bastenhaus.

The royal stage: Today we went up high, on the highest mountain in the Palatinate. Even the kiosk at the Ludwigsturm was open.

The last stage of the Palatinate High Trail and I have to say, the best comes at the end. A wonderful hike on soft forest trails.



Conclusion on the Palatinate High Trail:

I ran the path against the recommended direction, wanted to save the highlight "Donnersberg" for the end.
