Smell the sea and the mud, see the dikes and ditches, feel the longing to be here and to live here. A wonderful day on the west coast.

On the way back from Sankt Peter-Böhl we made a little stop. Here at the Eider Barrage, the fish sandwiches taste particularly delicious 😋

We were on the Hamburg Hallig today. And that was really great. Rent two bikes for 2 euros per bike at Amsinckhaus and then cycle to Hamburg's Hallig. Great tour through a unique landscape. The salt marshes are a paradise for birds.

A short stroll through Husum. Our conclusion: Husum is not that gray either. Actually only the sky was gray ☁️.

The weather forecast for the west coast was relatively good ... so today we went to North Friesland. The hike to the lighthouse is wonderful. Surrounded by a lot of birdsong and endless salt marshes and a stop with a delicious Frisian cake, the excursion was pure enjoyment.

Since we still had enough time, we made a detour to Sankt Peter-Bad. The sky remained overcast the whole time. So we had a unique atmosphere on the beach.

Today I let the pictures speak for themselves. It was great. Afterwards we went to the Swiss house after Tating. This is no longer an insider tip. Cakes under 300 g are biscuits there 🍪😉

I didn't record that at Komoot, but I'll add the pictures anyway, as this detour is worthwhile from a culinary point of view.

A typical day in November, with a lot of fog 🌫 and cloudy weather ☁️. But that doesn't stop us from cycling across the island 🚲 🚲. And again we saw a lot and captured it in a photo 📷.

We made very good use of today's departure day. We were in Wyk, this time in daylight. This enabled me to photograph the beautiful St. Nicolaii Church from the inside.
