Beginning of spring? Probably only on the calendar 📅. Nevertheless, a small, refreshing tour through the moor with a view of the airfield and lake.

Unfortunately the photos are not in the right order again 🤷🏼‍♀️ My pictures from the digital camera and from the cell phone and the pictures of my husband, all mixed up.

The short hikes on the garbage mountain are worthwhile! Great view of Hamburg 🤍🤍.

And the Hummelsee is a paradise for water birds.

Inspired by Manni's frog pictures, we went to Himmelmoor today. Thank you Manni😊! And it was worth it. The weather was fantastic and the frogs were numerous.

Since the pandemic still has a firm grip on us and does not allow a meeting with our dear children on Mother's Day, we went to the can moor. Today we did a spontaneous lap on our bikes. We had no plan and just drifted. The result is a beautiful tour through the nursery, through the Klövensteen with the Schnaakenmoor and the game reserve. Home is so beautiful ...... a bicycle tour in the evening ...... from Wedel to Appen and back.

Tonight we felt the need for exercise and fresh air ...... so get on your bike and off to Holm. We have built in two small stops. Namely in the sand mountains and at the fire extinguishing pond, where the frogs welcomed us with a concert.

Actually, we wanted to do a bigger lap. But the early darkness made us turn around as a precaution. It is already mighty dark after sunset in the forest. You don't see much, but the smells in the forest are perceived much more intensely. An interesting experience too.

Since we spent most of the day sitting down yesterday, we needed a little exercise tonight. We didn't get far. The sunset stopped us from running. We stood spellbound in the moor and took a lot of photos. Gunnar, thanks for the inspiration !!

Today we visited 🦌 Robert, the top dog, in the Klövensteen game reserve. Currently it is rutting season for red deer and fallow deer. The roaring 🎺 was very impressive.

Now we have made it ... we were with the cranes in the Tister peasant moor. First we went to the lookout tower. But we were far too early to see cranes. What a morning ❣ Getting up early was 💯% worth it. We were on the observation tower at sunrise. The planned little walk in the afternoon turned into a somewhat longer tour, which only allowed us to arrive at the car in the dark. We still have to get used to the early darkness.

Today we showed our Buchholz friends the Himmelmoor. With lots of sunshine🌤 and some muddy paths, the moor has shown itself at its best. We ended the sociable day comfortably with coffee ☕ and Friesentorte 🍰.
