From our intermediate accommodation we drove today to Luxembourg City und and explored the old town. We followed the Wenceslas Loop to visit the historic sites of the city. The path is well signposted and highly recommended for those who like history. The weather was great. Not too warm. Very nice day.

Afterwards we drove to Trier and explored the city. The old town is very nice. When we left the dome I forgot to start recording again 😬. I just came on the way to Porta Nigra 🤦🏻♂️.

On the way to the next accommodation we made a stopover in 🇧🇪 Arlon (next bigger place in Belgium, which was halfway on the track). Small tranquil village with very beautiful churches. Can you have a look ...

We have reached our destination for the next 3 nights. From the accommodation we went a bit long after the long drive. The goal was not so far away Versailles. 🤔 seems to me somehow familiar. We quickly rushed to the castle park and then went in search of food. The traffic is very strong. I am glad…

First day in Paris ... We "ran" across the city 😉. Starting at the Notre Dame over the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe to the Eiffel Tower and other sights. You can not do everything on foot. If you take a lot of time, you can queue at the main attractions. Paris is worth seeing and worth it. The weather has…

The second day Paris starts with a Seine cruise. Can stand it ...

The second day in Paris, I still remained guilty. We were on our way to the Sacré-Cœur after the Seine cruise. I had not felt comfortable at once from the metro. Maybe it was only instinctive, because in Montmartre much should be stolen. The beauty of this church lets forget everything. Just as this…

After we came from Montmartre, we got off at the Place de la République and just walked across the country.

The second day of Paris we completed with the Eiffel Tower. It was not planned. But before we went to the accommodation, we wanted to say goodbye to the Eiffel Tower. The queues at the cash registers were manageable (maybe 10-15 minutes waited). So nothing like pure or high. We decided to go up the stairs…

Coming from Paris after a long drive, we only briefly met our feet. Now we have arrived at our next station. In Alsace. We will see what we can discover here.

After the world metropolis Paris we experience the whole counterpart. Today we visited three peaceful villages, which are very worth seeing. But make yourself an impression. First stop is Riquewihr.

2nd stage today. The destination is the village of Ribeauvillé. Also this place is very worth seeing. Above all, there are many stork nests.

The next nice little village (Kaysersberg) is the destination of the 3rd day tour. On January 14, 1875, someone very famous was born here. Albert Schweitzer. At that time Upper Alsace was still part of the German Reich.

This village is very worth seeing. It is worth to stroll through Obernai. But make yourself a squeeze.

After our city break we were hiking in nature and have climbed the Mont Sainte-Odile. The climb was not very easy with the temperatures. Most of the way was in the forest, so fortunately shady. The "torments" of the ascent were rewarded with a wonderful view towards the Rhine Valley with Strasbourg in…

A small village near the Rhine, the 🇩🇪 / 🇫🇷 border. Just look at the map and you can see the special feature.
The city was built by Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban. He was a general, fortress builder of Louis XIV (Sun King) and Marshal of 🇫🇷. He built or modernized countless fortresses. With him…

The Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg is the most visited castle in the region and one of the most frequented tourist destinations in France 🇫🇷. It was reconstructed at the beginning of the 20th century by Bodo Ebhardt (Berlin architect). It was commissioned by Emperor Wilhelm II, who received it from S…
