El desfiladero de Asfendos es injustamente uno de los menos frecuentados de Sfakia. Tiene un carácter "más suave" que el desfiladero vecino de Kallikratis y, en general, es un poco menos exigente pero no menos atractivo y atrae con una abundante taberna justo después de llegar a la carretera Imbros-Kallikratis.
